I use my difference nearly everyday, shunning wigs unless 'the mood' strikes me (maybe once or twice a month) to don a wig. I have been approached by SO many people who ask if I'm in chemo, and once I explain that its only my immune system being screwy that my hair doesn't grow, they often comment that I am very pretty/beautiful/attractive bald. I have to agree, lol, God blessed me with a very well-formed skull. It is my hope that someone with AU or AT or AA and shaves who is suffering under a wig they feel obligated to wear will see me and think, "Hey, why not me? Why am I hiding? Dealing with the cost and discomfort of wigs?" I wish to impart "if I can do it, you can too" We have the right to be bare. The right to bear bare scalps. We have been though so much emotional shock and psychological stress why add to it with wig aggravations? That's just my thoughts.

And I remember the thought that changed everything: "if I can deal with me being bald, everyone else is going to have to deal with me being bald, too."

I have been trying to get out bald more. I also view my situation as something that can hopefully be liberating for people who see me, especially women. :) Thanks for your inspiration.
