I have yet to see a dermatologist and its been 2 years... my appointment is next week actually, i am thinking i have AU now but when i first had it it was only AA.. not sure if that helps you any but my eyebrows and body hair went more than my head hair, now all my body hair is gone and ive only a bit on my head left.

I had been diagnosed with "aggressive AA," but it was only 3-4 months before it was obviously developing into AU. The very first spot that I noticed was on my arm. It's frustrating to not have any idea where this condition is taking you. That is one of the most annoying things of AA/AU... it goes where it wants and there's no predictability. It was helpful for me to take steps where I could to feel more in control... learn about wigs/hair pieces, buy a new hat, research make up tattoos, etc. Hang in there!
