Hi, I am new here and am on the hunt for the perfect wig. Does anyone know anything (good or bad) about Matt Yeandle? Are the wigs well made and good quality? Does he do natural looking blondes? I am in such a difficult situation because I work in the fire service and sometimes have to wear safety gear, Haz-mat suits, respirators, etc., and I need to find a wig that can survive this yet still look good. His photos look great but don't they all? Does anyone know about a return policy?

Any advice from others who are in public safety and dealing with alopecia would be great!

Hey! I have a matt yeandle wig i bought the glueless stretch lace front wig its long and european remy for 1500! I am still wearingnit today! I wear it pretty much everyday for 2 years it is a very nice wig i dnt believe it is "european" it feels sort of like a virgin asain to me but it is still beautiful and Silky has alot of movement and is very well maid and it was very convienent it was in stock so i didnt have to wait. The inside has silicone on sides and back all hand made and a VERY relastic large silk top i am extra particular because i am a hairstylist so i need to look as natural as possible and it does the job noone knows i wear wigs. I was soo happy WHen i got it i had a consultation jus prior with peggy knight and this wig looked ALOT like the gripper construction but wayyy more relastic because of the silk top and no wefts. And the gripper was 4x the price so i am very happy with my choice i would highly suggest but i would reccomend ordering a custom with your exact measurements so u get a more snug fit and tell him to bleach the knots i got a virgin wig it took color extremely well so getting it blonde should be very easy

Glad you had such a positive experience with Matt. I have been in contact with him by email and he seems really nice, at least responds quickly. That's so great the no one knows you wear wigs, that is my goal at work too. At this price point I am guessing it is processed hair, which is fine as long as it looks good. My lifestyle is brutal on wigs, so if I could get a year out of it,then make it a back-up or work-out wig I would be thrilled. Did you not get a custom? Did the stock piece not fit well? Were you able to see a sample of hair quality before ordering? I am a bit nervous about the color, as I hate the brassy orangy blondes and prefer more of an ashy tone. Thanks for all your help!

Can I ask you the price of the Matt Yeandle.. and how is it holding up now?

I am considering him for my next wig. Everything I have read about him in review groups is positive. I am not sure if any wig could hold up for long to a Haz Mat suit though. I would make sure you got to see a sample of the actual hair he was going to use to make sure it is the right texture and color before he proceeds to make a wig. I dont know of any wig maker that will make you a custom wig and offer a refund unless there is a design flaw and good luck getting someone to admit that : (

Why don't you get a less expensive synthetic wig for the hazmat stuff? I have Euro hair wigs, but don't wear them when I'm going to the gym, or gardening or anything that means I'll get dirty. Synthetics are wash and wear, so I take them on trips, too. My favorite is Brandi by Rene of Paris. Looks almost exactly like my European hair in style and color.

I just ordered a synthetic Jon Renau Julia to try this out. My only worry is that I live in the desert and it is HOT here in the summer. I swear, my life makes wig wearing virtually impossible! I also ride horses and have to wear a helmet to do so. I sweat a ton and figure this will ruin a synthetic fairly quickly. Between my job and my environment I am completely panicked about how to deal with my hair loss. I have been wearing nice HH toppers but my hair loss is progressing so fast (lost 75% in last year)that they no longer work. I am hoping that the synthetic will be an option if not at work at least at home and around the horses to prolong the life of a HH. Thanks so much for all the great advice!

You are right about the heat and synthetic wigs. There's a new fiber that some wigs are being made of now called "heat defiant," which is supposed to be much better than regular wigs, but I haven't tried it.

Rose-that link doesn't seem to work-any suggestions

I have the JR Julia and JR human hair carrie and the Julia synthetic is a lot cooler to wear. My carrie feels very heavy & hot on my head.

Hi Leslie, I just noticed your book and I can't wait to read it. You mentioned you have Euro wigs, what brand do you have? I just purchased two synthetics. They are okay. It feels like you may have to purchase several before you get the right one. I was diagnosed this summer and it has been a roller coaster ride to say the least. I'll get the book tonight!

I actually disagree with everything the women were saying on bhm it is not juz "thin skin" the cap has alot of special features about it and my hair lookd completely natural i never had a problem
With density! I found the same wig that i love on a ithercwebsite and its in sale $200 off!
No not brandname but i wouldnt kno i dnt wear synthtic wigs so u never know
