Hello, I am a 28 year old guy. I have lost my beard, eyebrows and lashes and am going to have to shave my head soon. I have dark brown hair and I am woried that even if I wet  shave my head it will still be noticable where my patches are. I was just wondering what other peoples experiences of this are and whether it may not be all that bad or will be. I think I need to prepare myself whatever the outcome. Thanks. Andy.

Hey Andy, I'm in the same boat as you - it's a bit distressing isn't it :(
I'm clinging to the last *coverage* up top but I know in my heart that there's gaps all over the shop.
I'm just nervous about the "reaction" moments that are inevitable when I do get the bravery to shave it all off!

Some of the guys on here have mentioned that a tan helps, and keeping it as tight as you can....

Weird thing is now that I've become focussed on shaved heads, I've been seeing them everywhere these last few days!

Anyway, I'm rambling. I'll take some snaps of my new look in January (quite sure I'll have to bite the bullet before returning to work in the new year). If you can wait until then I'll do some before and after shots so you can get the picture on how visible they are after a shave.

Either way, stay positive....

I can relate to pretty much everything you've just said.

The "queue paranoia" is funny - I thought it was just me ;)
I've started thinking about ways to not have people behind me in the pub or in queues....makes life kinda awkward!
One of my reasons for shaving is definitely the "taking control" thing, rather than awaiting the next chunk to fall out I'm going to be in charge (and in so doing, I hope, it becomes a background thing and not something I'll be concerning myself with daily).

Stay well, and I'll post up the photo's in Jan...

Hey,

I never had to worry about the map problem because my hair fell out on its own, but you could see if nair has something that would be okay on a scalp because that stuff would probably get any stubble off from shaving. Best of luck!
