Bald and beautiful?

hi, i am 13 and have alopecia areata, at the moment i have more hair than bald patches but the bit that is growing back is really really short, but the bits that have never fallen out are long. at the moment i wear hats and bandannas, but threy give me spots and rashes on my head, so i was wondering if i should shave my head and be brave, or keep hiding the fact that i have AA?
