So I got alopecia when I was about 7th grade and now I'm a sophomore in college. All throughout high school I was 100% bald. But the summer before my freshman year of college, I started growing my hair back. I had my eye brows, eye lashes, mustache and hair everywhere. For some reason that I am starting to lose my hair again. My eye brows are falling off again and it really sucks. I had so much hope for my hair to come back and now the whole depression of losing hair is back again. I don't want to return back to my school and see my friends. I don't want them to make fun of me or judge me for not having any eye brows. Has anyone ever had their hair grow back but then fall off again? I need advice on how to not be so stressed.

If need be you can always get your eyebrows tattooed.

If you go this route be very careful who you select to do the procedure.

Stress management...yoga, guided imagery talking with others familiar with your situation.

Tomorrow is my first day of the new semester of school. I went to a community college for 4 years with hair and the first week that I started at the 4yr university I'm currently at I began losing my hair. It was all gone shortly after that, I wore a wig and hats for that entire semester and the following I began going around bald. Tomorrow I will walk around bald, you're not alone, embrace yourself and your confidence will embrace others.

Wow that's heartbreaking, i'm sorry to hear. But I'm glad you're accepting how you look! I am starting to accept it and I don't care what people think anymore :) I feel like it makes me unique? Haha but let me know how school goes! Also congrats to your 4 year university. If I may ask, what school are you going to? I am starting my second year of my 4 year university.

Hie Tonny! The situation is very fluctuating, as you lost hair in high school then you gained it back. How did you get back your hair? Did you use some medication for it? As a medical counselor my advice would be don't be depressed, as that is one of the cause you would lose your hair at high pace. I would advice you to not take much stress as it can be solved. Don't be disheartened.

My Alopecia started in 7th grade and I got Alopecia Universials in 9th grade. Somehow out of the blue, I started growing eye brows after 3 years of no medication. I did the Steroid shots and cream for a little bit during my freshman year of high school. The summer entering college (4 years later) I grew eye brows and they grew back 100%. Then they started falling off again and now my eye brows are completely gone.

This was so great to read. Thank you so much for sharing your stories and advice. I feel like Alopecia is something you need to accept and i'm slowly starting to accept that my eye brows are gone but it's okay because I have support from you guys and my family. Your eye brow story is really funny haha, thanks a lot :)
