This is a very inspiring and well thought out video, with a good does of humor too. Yes, why should we worry about making our lives more complicated than it is when nature is telling us so strongly that fighting to keep hair on our heads may not be the only option and that choosing to just shave it off may actually be liberating as well as economically viable. Of course, losing one's hair is not an easy thing--it's tough--hence the support system here--but, at the same time, going to the salon and be told how to do a comb-over or spending hours before the mirror worried about hiding bald spots that appear in the oddest places (as I've experienced)and then fretting about how to cover them up can be an even more painful process. Shaving it all off equalizes all the hair and bald spots and ends the constant worry that my hairspray will reveal the bald spot or a big gust of wind

Yes, I do shave my head...I've been shaving my head on and off since my teens--for many reasons, but I also have Alopecia Areata so that whenever the bald spots start to appear, I just shave it all off so I don't have to worry about it. Then it sometimes comes all back and I grow it again. These periods where the Alopecia is dormant sometimes last years--the longest time being from 1994 to 2003, but then it flared up so I was bald in 2003 and 2004. My hair came back after that, but it did the holes again in 2011 and I got tired of hiding it like you mentioned in your video, so I was shaved it off again for a year. When the spots started again this June, off went the hair again. Your video is inspiring me to just keep it shaved even if it does come back, because I know it will be only for a short time and then it will go again...why worry and just keep it shaved instead?

Exactly--for me being bald and now worrying about those bald patches is liberating
