I'm happy for Gail, but why the heck do people like the announcer at the beginning keep calling this a "stress-related condition"!!!! What about all the small children who lose all their hair to AA?! Thanks for sharing this rj.

Even Gail said that her doctor thinks that her alopecia might be "stress-related," although she also expressed her doubts about this. Which makes me think: Laypeople, like the announcers, probably will be less inclined to think of the condition as stress-related when medical professionals, like Gail's own doctor, quit believing and saying that it is. ;-)

Nonetheless, I like her attitude!

Have you read her book, "Laid Bare"? It's good.

what a lovely woman. good luck to you gail. My hair came back briefly about a year after it first fell out. Then it fell out again and has been absent for the past ten years or more. Thanks for the hope you have given us all Gail!!

She made a series for television called 'Gail Porter laid bare'. It is on You Tube in about 5 or 6 parts.
Worth watching

I think Gail or the announcers should of explained it better, that it is an auto-immune condition period like RA or lupus and not stress related. I guess you can say stress can be involved in any medical problem, but it doesn't explain the cause. My hair also came back for about a year but then fell out again . Peace to everyone!
