People's Questions and My Annoyance

So, I have AU. I used to have AA, but it become so bad 3 years ago I shaved (and have shave since). I've since then lost all my hair.I've come to a point where I don't even really think about my AU. It's just my normal. I found myself getting really angry last night when my niece's grandmother wanted to ask me questions. I was wearing a bandana last night, and you could see my bald head. She asked me if I was going through chemo, and I explained to her, "It's alopecia. It's genetic." And, then…See More

Lips always chapped with AU

I read somewhere that having chapped lips can be a symptom of not getting enough vitamins. Now, I have developed AU in the past year, and I notice my lips are always chapped. I eat plenty of vegetables and even take a daily multivitamin. I'm wondering if my body doesn't absorb nutrients like it's supposed to. Does anyone else have chronically chapped lips?See More

Losing Pubic Hair (I know... I went THERE!)

I used to have alopecia areata, but in the last year, it's turned universalis. I've lost all the hair on my head, eyebrows, arm/leg hair, etc. For the time being, I still have eye lashes. I know this gets a little personal....My doctor once asked if I had lost pubic hair. When I told her no, she said pubic hair (armpit and nether region hair) is on a different operating system and is rarely affected. I've been noticing lately that stuff is looking patchy. Has anyone else experienced this?See More

Attachment to Suffering. Why did I have to be the one to lose my hair?

Posted on April 19, 2017 at 11:26am 0 Comments

“To be free from suffering, free yourself from attachments.”

They say being attached can lead to suffering, but we can also be attached to our suffering.

Every person living now is going through some kind of suffering……

There is death, sickness, poverty, injustice, cruelty, judgements, projections, failures, and insecurities.

Sometimes it is easy to forget that other…

I wouldn't want to spend too much more just because I don't wear it enough, although, I probably don't wear them too often because I don't find them comfortable. That is a good idea, having them hand made, how did you find a place that would make them?
