My apologies -- I haven't checked into Alopecia World for awhile. Yes, we have spoken before -- I am in the Battlefords and do make it into Saskatoon from time to time. I am absolutely willing to sit down with you and Logan and talk about it. It looks like we have the same type of alopecia and I know how rare it is to find anyone around home to share stories with -- it might even do me some good. I will let you know the next time I come into Saskatoon and we can all meet for coffee maybe?

Hi Melanie, thanks for the add. Yes, I agree there needs to be a support group. I am glad your son is staying strong. Well I now know of four people on here from Saskatchewan who are willing to start something. Do you know of many? Even if we all met for dinner somewhere one Saturday or something...would be great. I have yet to meet anyone face to face in the same situation.

I know how hard alopecia can be; I have had it for about 30 years. Let me know if you need help or support. One thing that you might be interested in is my book, written for women, called "If Your Hair Falls Out, Keep Dancing!" (It just won two national awards!) It has a lot of good info in it, it can answer many questions, and it's a fun read, too. You can find out more on my page. It's available on Amazon.com, and on this site under "Bookshelf."
