Jennah !!  Hello.  Love your pictures.  Do tell, what are you wearing in pictures 25 and 44, picture 6, and picture 46?  Love them all but those are in lighter colors.  Well, exception of the pink.  If I were your age, I would be all over that one, and of course a purple wig!!  Love your tats...I have many!!  Love your cat.  I used to have 6 babies.  Have a great week!!

The Spiro wasn't strong enough for me and I was on the 200mg a day, the maximum dose, so we're trying Cyproterone now, that can only be perscribed by an endocrinologist, and if that doesn't help I'll to give the Flutamide a go, (but your liver has to be monitered very closely on it). Bear in mind I have quite bad hyper androgen issues so if you don't have any problems with that Spiro should be good enough. Another well known American endocrinologist also believes extra estrogen helps women with AGA but I don't know quite how much research has been done on that, but pill therapy of AGA is usually an anti-androgen plus Estrogen - usually through one of the approptiate BC pills (some have a negative impact on AGA).

Hi Jennah, I saw my derm today and we were talking about AGA hair loss and he follows the research of the top AGA in women researcher (she's in California) and her extensive research on it has shown the only thing that helps if you get it in your 20's, 30's, 40's - basically before and during menopause are the anti-androgen medications and that minox does nothing during those years. Once your post menopausal minox then becomes the only thing that 'does' work. My derm wasn't sure why it seems to work in that order but I just thought I'd let you know, I wondered if maybe giving the Spiro might be worth a go if you don't have any success with the minox? Take care.

Did you get my link to the secret FB page? Its not the alopecia world one.
I didn't start having kids till I was 33 so there is plenty of time for you yet LOL. And your step daughter will be old enough to babysit which is the perfect family set up HE HE.
Wow you and your partner have been together for ages and you sound like your still madly in love? Rico and I have been together for about 8 years now and 3 kids and 2 dogs later we are still hanging in there LOL. Hard work sometimes!!!

Im an early childhood teacher too I have been for the past 25 years..... makes me sound old but Im only 40. I still feel 30!!
What company sold you an expensive topper? And whats wrong with it?? There are some curly ones I think, there are some girls on Wig Support who have curly hair too..... wonder what they do?? Also you can curl synthetic toppers or wigs as Ive seen it on youtube, its with curlers and hot water I think. You would have to buy a cheap one to test it out?? Ive always wondered if we can make a topper out of a wig? Ill research that next LOL its like a hobby. I do wish I had found toppers in my 30's I might of been a lot happier and more confident instead of worrying about my hair all the time. Not that anyone would of known the battle I was having with myself not even my closest friends. :O(
I figure Ill use toppers as long as I can as it looks more natural when I wear my hair up.
Are you on the secret face book page? Keels from Christchurch just introduced me its really cool too.
Ive got 3 kids, 6 year old Macee, 4 year old Jimmy and 3 year old Jed. I also have 2 young Schnauzer puppies who we hope to breed one day. Busy as in our house LOL.

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Paula

PS you could share hair with us and postage if we can organize it. :O)

Hey thanks for you wee massage. I wish I had seeked help or support earlier in my life as my hair has been thinning for some time now and Ive suffered in silence. Now I have discovered hair fibers, sprays and finally toppers, wiglets and hairpieces wat ever you want to call them. Ive found this web site and wig support which is amazing. You look like you have lots of hair but we often see our selves in the worst most possible light eh?? Have you tried toppers? Another hair friend and I are swapping toppers by post to try each others and see wat we like. We have just sent each other the first swap this week and we are both waiting eagerly. Its expensive to post from the US to NZ so we will combine post on purchases too. You have a stunning face so if you decided to shave you would look amazing. I think Ill do it one day but Im just not ready yet.
Nice to hear from you Jennah and keep in touch.
PS look up www.wigsupport.com

Not at all-I prefer the Adriana, but it is more expensive. They are very similar in style, but the Adriana is a hand tied cap and the Gisele is wefted. The Adriana is also slightly more of a ringlet vs. the Gisele (but is is a very slight difference once brushed) Go to vogue wigs if you want to see videos where they show the inside of the cap. The hand tied, just moves a little better, and if the hair separates, you won't see the lines and your scalp--it will look more real. Also, I found that the Adriana didn't frizz as much or I guess as fast on the underside (nape of neck area) where my wigs always start looking frizzy first. The hair seemed to be a little different texture. Hope that helps, and feel free to ask anything else. I know it is a pain to find a wig that works for you and I am thrilled with these ones, so happy to help out another person. Take Care

Awesome! Could you do a lunch sometime? When do you start studying, next week? I work at the airport and live in Brighton, but my kids go to school in town so I'm there a lot. We can work around you.

aww thanks, i appreciate it. i was scared to shave mine too. i guess it just requires enough frustration lol. after i did it i felt great. yeah i looked like a boy, but i felt like i was "in control" of my hair loss. now, 2 months later, i cant say i still feel the same. hair loss, is hair loss, u cant hide it. but i really do enjoy not having to fuss with the long hair i had. ur losing ur hair anyways, might as well try it. just be prepared to always be stared at haha.

Thanks for the compliment on my glasses and wig. Actually, my friend gave it to me, but it's a synthetic Jon Reneau smartlace I think. :)
