I am 22 and mine started in may as well! I remember i was at a family party and someone pointed out this lil bald patch i hadn't noticed on the top of my head and i just shrugged it off thinking oh i must have pulled on it to hard or something. Then a week later it got bigger and i just freaked.... none of the treatments have worked! but yeah i am going to have to try on wiggs soon cuz i have a new spot that can't be hidden really!... it sucks i live in Ohio right now! i moved here from western NY.... around the same time i started getting AA
Yeah i havn't gotten a wig yet! I have no idea what kind to get or where to get one!.... im so confused on a lot of stuff! I know tho within the next couple of months that i won't have enough hair to cover anything so ... its getting to that point i suppose that I need to know more info about wigs and things.
Hi yes I'm fighting that problem right now on the left side of my head above my ears? I know that others on AW have writen that they experience this also and then it grows and turns their true color? Time will tell but as far as what is a normal pattern it is.
I don't have any fine blondish hairs, but I know that other people write about that here. I'm not sure whether it means the "real" hair is coming back or not. Please post this question to your original post so more people can respond.
I wanted to leave a message for you about that support group. It's very helpful to attend at least one meeting if you can make it over to Nahville. Denise Ruiz is the leader, her # is 615-758-9127.
thanks, i thinks the brand is renee' of paris. its synthetic (my first time doing synthetic) its ok, it frizzes more than i'd like, i was thinking about going to my hair place tomorrow so they can de-friz it for me. but all and all its not bad, just have to be careful around heat
Hi Casee, I wanted to welcome you to Alopecia World. I can honestly say that we are a great community here and I hope you enjoy the time you spend with us.
Hi Casee,
I know how hard alopecia can be; I have had it for about 30 years. Let me know if you need help or support. One thing that you might be interested in is my book, written for women, called "If Your Hair Falls Out, Keep Dancing!" (It just won two national awards!) It has a lot of good info in it, it can answer many questions, and it's a fun read, too. You can find out more on my page. It's available on Amazon.com, and on this site under "Bookshelf."
Let me know if there's anything else I can do! I am here to help.
