Sigh... I've just been looking around on line for wig ideas. I learned which suppliers the local hair places use and look through the catalogues on line. But what I don't ever understand are the price differences. It could be the same brand of wig but the long hair lengths cost less then the required shorter length. Do I buy long then go to a decent hair dresser to cut it? Do I keep looking for a decent priced short length. Man they are so expensive in the UK. I'm also a bit worried about on line buying due to the couple of times I have tried they have been terrible party wigs.

Hi - I live in Canada and my hair dresser said the cost difference can be the type of cap it is, is it hand-tied or machine tied, colours ( highlights or not). I don't order on line, I have a hair dresser that I have been using for year - I know, that doesn't help. Can you check your local area phone book for wigs? Do any of them specialize in dealing with those living with Alopecia or Cancer? Call a Cancer Agency and ask who supplies their patients? Here in BC the Cancer Agency has a list of wig suppliers/hair dressers to help with their patients. What wig companies have you tried on line?
Best of luck, I know, it is frustrating!

Hi Plumeria thank you for your reply. There is a local place to me that sells them they even provide for the health service. I've just found that their customer service isn't great. I can't help but conspire them so another hair dressers who I used to visit before I moved to the other side of the country.
So on line I look through the local stores providers on line catalogue rather then feel like I'm taking their time by looking through their paper one...
The price difference I noticed seemed to be by the same supplier but I didn't admittedly read all the details. Just always seems that the ones I love cost so much more. Then longer wavy styles which I also love but found hard to control :)

I do understand the reasons... I guess my frustration is it is always the ones I like the most that cost the most or the long really nice but I have problems with that cost the least... I know you pay for what you get but simply I can't afford the best :)

You have to buy what you can afford but is people have some for you to look at and try on it sure makes it nicer.

Thanks for the offer of helping I've looked through lots of sites and compared prices :) a lot are cheaper in America then here in UK lots more choices elsewhere.... To be honest it's just up to me to keep searching for the best my money can afford... It's mainly just me not finding that perfect one...

I order from galleryofwigs.com Kathy, the owner, is the sweetest!!! I live in Europe due to my hubby being in the Army & I always order from her. She has the lowest prices!! She always helps if you have a question about colors or what style suits you best.
