My friend Brittney asked how I was doing so I thought I'd share my progress to date. Well the injections of the Kenalog Cortisone seem to be wroking nicely. I have a full brow line on the left side and a bit more blotchy brow coming in on the right.

I'd say it will be a success in about another month to 6 weeks. The hairs coming in are thick and dark just like my pre- fall out hairs were. I am feeling much more confident about my overall look and would be very grateful if I could stay at this point going forward.

My lovely Doctor advised me to continue with the topical application of the Lumigan on a couple of specific points on each brow to gauge the response. I am sorry to say that there has been nothing so far at these particular points.

I was also using the Lumigan on my eyelids to start the regrowth of my eyelashes, but there has been no indication of growth at all there. It has been over 6 weeks now and the protocol was such that something should have started by now. I am using a drop on each eyelid and applying with a "Microbrush" one time per day in the evening before bed.

I am seeing my Doc tomorrow afternoon so I will wait and see what she says- she will likely say to keep on with the Lumigan, but I am not that hopeful of having eyelashes back. I heard the injections will work, but I don't like the idea of injecting my eyelids! Maybe for the ladies it's a bit more important but you can always go with the stick-on things if you are going glam for an evening or something.

Anyway, I'll see what the Doc says and write an update tomorrow.

Just got back from the Doctor's office. A few more injections and a recall visit in 6 weeks. She says the brow line should fill in and not be perfect- a woman' brow line would be more smooth..and it does look pretty good already!

She said to continue the Lumigan and see if anything happens in the next 6 weeks. For 40$ I guess it's worth continuance. She uses it herself on her lashes and she had good results. She reminded me that Areata patients are different than Universalis in that they may respond better to the Lumigan. That said, I never lost my lashes until it was a full on Unversalis attack..who knows.

I asked her whether or not the injections would need to be continued after I get suitable regrowth on the brows- she said it's a wait and see. Hopefully they will stay in for good.

Anyone else had long term success with the eyebrows after Kenalog injections?

regards

Craig
