It has been a while since I have posted on here.  Been dealing with the hair loss in circular patches that sometimes group themselves or just singularly for 7 years.  The last couple of years rewarded me with a patch up front which prompted a severe part on the opposite side to cover it up.  That patch took a very long time to respond to injections and the hair has only grown in white.  Those white hairs accept nothing -- no hair color or henna -- ok, the henna slightly worked but the yellow it turned was less nice than the white.  Despite being able to reasonably hide the white patch that was growing longer and longer, now it is time to let it out.  I am getting bangs cut tomorrow because I am tired of compromising my hair style because of alopecia.  I also have a huge white patch on the back of my head that is easily disguised by hair layered over it from higher up on my head.  That shows no signs of changing over to my natural hair color either.  Soon, that will be peeking out from the back, esp. on windy days.  I am at the point where it would be great if my entire head just switched over to the white hairs for consistency.  My hair dresser has worked with me to add highlights to make the white hair up front look more like highlights....and for some reason I get complimented on it quite a bit!  It bothers me but people seem to like it.  Hmm...  It will be interesting to see what the response is after I leave the hairdresser and start showing off my new cut.  That white patch is going to make its debut.
