When I lost most of my hair it was March 2011 and I took the necessary precautions wearing scarves, hats, buffs, etc. I noticed I felt the cold a lot faster than when I had some hair on my head.

I'm finding that now that it is getting hotter outside, my head sweats! Man! And the sweat goes right to my ears. never realized hair kept that from happening.

On another note, I'm losing my eyebrows. I have pretty much very thick Groucho-Marx-like eyebrows. I notice that I don't have to tweeze my eyebrows much anymore. Hair doesn't grow where it shouldn't. And my eyebrows are getting thinner.

I'd appreciate any recommendations respecting good eyebrow pencils and silhouettes or templates I can use and where to get them. Just preparing myself. Better to be prepared.

Onward and upward everybody! Heads up! Towards the Sky! Positivity!

Thanks, Stacy. Makes no sense for me to be any other way; it won't bring the hair back.

You're going through exactly what I did after losing my hair in January 2008. I learned very quickly that ANYTHING on my head was too hot most of the time. I HATE having a sweaty head. I want to feel the breeze and let the natural ventilation system of my scalp function. I've been bald in public for over 3 years, and it's fine.

When my own very bushy and opinionated eyebrows started to depart, I got permanent makeup - tattoos. I highly recommend it. AND, you never know when they may make a return visit. My eyebrows came back for about 8 months in 2009, and they're back again right now. I'm trying not to get too attached to them, though. ( ;-)

Everything you say echoes my own feelings! This is who I am now, and life is great! Having no hair is the least of my problems. The sooner I accepted that, the better I felt. Carry on and be proud of your beauty!

Not that I can be of much help as I have not used makeup in years, but I used to use mainly Mary Quant, and for a while Biba, but also Leichner were quite good. My eyebrows were always influenced by Chines opera makeup. Possibly not something you would want for everyday life.

I’d offer the suggestion actually of going without eyebrows. I remember back in the 1970s when that was popular.
