Hey, I was just wondering what are some of your favorite sports to watch/play? I myself enjoy playing softball, soccer, volleyball, and football. (With my cousins not legitimate football!!!) I enjoy watching football, wrestling, and baseball.

Hi

I'm a bit of a Rugby Fan (I'm from New Zealand so that's very normal here). I also like football (we call it soccer). I've only got into that recently as my daughter's boyfriend plays it semi-professionally in NZ.

I have never been to a rugby game, but my cousins play. The football here is way different from soccer.

It's a rough and tumble game, and fun to watch. (But I'm a New Zealander...it's our national game so I may be just a little biased)

What is your Football like?? You have me intrigued...

American football is a sport played by two teams of eleven players on a rectangular field 120 yards long by 53.3 yards wide with goalposts at each end. The offense attempts to advance an oval ball down the field by running with or passing it. They must advance it at least ten yards in four downs to receive a new set of four downs and continue the drive; if not, they turn over the ball to the opposing team. Points are scored by advancing the ball into the end zone for a touchdown, kicking the ball through the opponent's goalposts for a field goal or by the defense tackling the ball carrier in the offense's end zone for a safety.

Interestingly enough American football evolved from rugby.
