The thing with alopecia is that it is different for everyone. I've heard stories of people only getting alopecia once and never again, I'm sure it happens. The thing is though that the longer you've had it the less likely you are to ever get rid of it completely. After 30 years of having various stages of alopecia, I'm finally getting some regrowth however it is not coming it everywhere and now I'm bald with hairy patches. There will be many new discoveries about alopecia itself as well as treatments in the near future I'm certain because they are starting to allow research on stem cells more.

Hi there. Well I started losing my hair October last year and by January this year it was basically gone, including hair from my hands, legs and a few other places. Here we are in March and my hair is almost completely back. Don't know if I'll be one of the lucky ones and never have issues again or not - will keep you informed. There is always a chance but I'm trying not to get too excited just in case. In fact at the moment I'm probably more hair obsesed than I was with no hair. Is it staying, is that a new patch, has that area thined etc etc, but we will see.
