Hello Everyone,

I see in the past there were people interested in getting a support group of sorts together for the Ottawa area. I'm here too and would be interested in chatting here with other Ottawans or getting together to see what everyone is doing for their alopecia. I have alopecia areata with about 90% hairloss. I shaved the rest off before the holidays, it was all just falling out anyway. I have been dealing with AA personally for about 10 yrs, but this is the most significant loss I have had. A couple of years ago I had 50% loss and did the cortisone shots which worked but it slowly fell out after that. Right now I'm not using anything. Getting ready to go back to work soon and deciding if I'm just going to go bald. Hard with all the patchy bits, but easier than worrying about covering it.
