Time for a change or affirmation of your positive traits? New year's Resolution time coming up! I used to tear up the ending-year's calendar into tiny bits, then toss them up as confetti at midnight when ushering in a new year...when I wanted to GET RID OF a bad year, mentally. Nowadays, I have more calendar entries I DO want to keep...but it is an idea that may fit some of you.

My resolutions include being open to mystery and spirituality, taking control of my OWN life (not lives of my twenty-something children...er, adults), and relaxing. What are your positive alopecian resolutions?

Idea: List what has been annoying you, then think of its opposite. THAT becomes the new idea to try for 2011! Inactivity can turn to action medically, socially, educationally, professionally, spiritually, financially, as well as with a new style for head, make-up or clothing. Who will you present to the world on January 1?

Sounds great Soniamarry & Ditto for me. Tallgirl - why didn't I ever think to make confetti out of my old calendars? Inventive - I like it!

Tallgirl, my resolution is to dust off my treadmill which has been gathering dust for a few months. I also want to find a new job and stop complaining about my current job and not doing anything about it! Finally, I want to focus on the positives of planning my wedding for the first 6 months, and enjoy the last 6 months of the year that I will spend as a newly married woman! Happy New Year!

*Getting some great ideas here!! Have a brand new jet tub...hmmmm....I like Dominique's idea, and yes, I would very much enjoy that too! And KUDOS to you Soniamarry!!! Amazing resolutions! Way to go! Last year was my first time ever to make any resolutions, and those were to eat a healthier, lower-fat diet, and I have done quite well up until the holidays...this year, I would like to continue with that, improve on it even more, and get more active, maybe a part-time job, and to definitely get more organized~ Love you all! Happy New Year!

With that new article about alopecia that Mary put up today (New York Times article), I may look into that gluten-free diet thing for the new year. Today I printed out the yes and no food lists. Also, I start my Education Specialist II Credential college work next week.

Well... hitting the gym is definitely one of them and the second is to work on my love life and enjoy the days no matter what ends up happening.

I don’t believe in making new Years resolutions and not keeping them so mine is to eat more and gain some weight…cross your fingers for me!
