Hello All, It's been a while since I have logged into Alopecia World. Alot of great things have been happening in my life but the one thing that I want to talk about is my new job!! Yea me!! I started a new job about two weeks ago and struggled with the thought of returning to "Corporate America" without hair. I prayed about it and thought to myself, if not me then who. Well I'm very pleased to say that it has been an unbelievable experience. For those of you who can't imagine going to work without hair imagine this..... People are constanly coming up to me an telling me how they admire my courage. I walked into the ladies room the other day and there were these two ladies in there and when I walked in one lady said to the othere there's the beautiful bald headed lady!! I smiled and thanked them. I went into the stall and they continued to talk about how they wish they had the courage to do the same. I just smiled and thanked my God for helping people to see that hair is over rated and that a woman's beauty is not wrapped up in her hair. Don't get me wrong not everyone is so gracious but I must say the majority of the people I work around are very wonderful. I make it a point to try and tell at least one person a day about Alopecia. It is my desire to educate people about Alopecia but more importantly to help people be more accepting of people with differences.

I can say: """PRAISE THE LORD""""....I say that God is going to also use me to help others in the same situation...not that I would tell them to do it but be an ear to listen or maybe a shoulder to cry on...and also to tell others about Alopecia. I've been there and can tell them I know what they mean & feel...but God will have to do the deliverance and give them peace and a surety that we are not our hair and I am so grateful and thankful that He has allowed me that revelation. God bless you sista.

Joye, I too have decided to Rock the bald look..I can say PRAISE THE LORD.I can agree with everything

you said "unbelievable experience", I too have people to come up to me and say that they wouldn't have

the courage . I have also had many wonderful compliments. I am so glad that my God has set me free

giving me a whole new look on living life with AU. I have had AU for many, many years, this year May 11

I went without the wigs and loving it....Learning that We Are Not Our Hair. The most wonderful part is

educating the public and finding out that you are not the only person when you thought you were in

your city/town/state that have Alopecia Areata don't get me wrong I don't wish this upon anyone, but to

have someone that can really relate to you. I do believe that for every Alopecian that uncover the

Beauty of baldness give someone else the courage to do so,because someone give me the courage.
