Looking for suggestions for "patchy" scalp

I'm looking for some advice. My alopecia started about 10 years ago. It started with a couple of one inch circles on the back of my head. I had cortisone injections and the hair grew back. It happened again 3 years later and again a couple years later. In April 2011 my hair started coming out all over. It looked terrible so I shaved my head. I can deal with being bald. My problem is I have some hair growth on the scalp which I continue to shave daily. My scalp looks patchy/spotted from the stubbles. I've tried regular razors and electric and it still looks awful! I have sensitive skin and it is also dry. Does anyone have any ideas or solutions to this problem? Thank you, Bob

How about a good tan on your noggin? That helped me quite a bit.
I wonder if laser hair removal would be an option?

HI. I am right there with you. I am AU now...not a spec of hair. But when I had around 50% hair loss on my head I shaved it all. I felt better..not having to deal with the funny cover up hair sytles. When I shaved I felt great but the patches were real bad and irregular. I found that if I shaved real close that the patches didn't show as much. I got a headblade. It worked real well. I found out about it on Aloepcia World. It takes some practice but it really does the job. You may need to shave twice a day depending how your hair grows.

I wish you good luck. I hope the rest of your hair returns soon.
