We watched the locks of love HBO film that they have out now..It is on demand. It was such a wonderful film and it gave Jordyn the chance to see that there are other girls and women out there with the same disease as her. It also gave her a better appreciation for what goes into the making of the wig she is about to get.

Thanks for posting this, Jess & Jordyn. :-) Here's a link to HBO's schedule and details about the documentary, which is named "Locks of Love: The Kindest Cut."

the wigs are all made by hand...and it shows how much hair donations arrive at the office

I am growing my hair , and so is my 13 year old daughter, to donate. We also have a friend of the family who has already cut their hair and waiting to send it somewhere. Is Locks of Love the best place to do it, or is their an organization that is better for specific Alopecia donation?
