Hi...this isn't nearly as earth shattering or dramatic a post as some of my others, but I'm excited about my most recent alopecia realization. Sleep caps! Yes, I'm probably the last alopecian to know they exist. But I was laying in my bed a couple nights ago, a little cold - it does get a bit nippy in Phoenix in the winter believe it or not. Oh, well, I also didn't want to turn on my heat yet either as I'm saving money leaving it off right!!! I was thinking as I was laying there that it would probably be better for my body if my bald little head had a covering to hold the heat in. But I had nothing except my covers so I pulled them up over my bald little head. :o) The next day I got online and found an adorable sleep cap and i'm so excited about it!!!! I rarely do anything to pamper myself directly in regards to my alopecia - I buy pretty nice wigs, but that's about it. So, I feel good doing something to take care of myself. I also feel good making the most of a bald little head that needs TLC too!!! :o)

Here's where I ordered it from: Headcovers.com

I ordered mine from http://www.slumbercap.com/. I was so excited about them!! one thing that I did find amusing though was that there was a tag on the INSIDE of the cap. WHAT?!?! Must have been designed by someone with hair. That tag came right out before I wore it! But, I think they are great. I was surprised by how warm it kept my head. :)

I lived in PHX 20 years ago and I remember the scortching hot days of summer and the chilly winter nights.
Now that I live in SFO it's mostly mild whew..,
However, I just got my winter ear muffs in the post for those cold windy days upon us.
