What a pity....I just cannot accept the fact that I will no longer be a man with hair. Friends look me in a strange way so I feel more sick.I have to wear a hat to make me look normal. And I'm afraid that when the summer season comes,I'll have to put it off.I really don't know what to do..

All you can do is keep your chin up, if you don't let it be a problem for you then why should it be a problem for anyone else? - And if it is, then they are not worth bothering with anyway. Your friends are probably just curious and I'm sure they don't mean to look at you in a funny way, the more you get used to it the more they will too. I always joke with my friends about it, and they love trying on my wigs for a laugh, you just have to get used to the fact that they're not laughing at you, its just not something that people are all that used to, and hence they find it interesting.

When the summer comes you see hundreds of guys walking around with shaved heads so you won't stand out in the crowd, plus a lot of ladies like men with no hair! It's a good look if you ask me ;)

Your still a man even if your bald. Your still handsome and cute even if i havent seen you. Your still the same person. Its not your problem, its not anyones problem alopecia comes when it comes. Your friends should support you. There silly if they dont. Girls like guys who are bald. Your strong and i know sometimes you feel lonely but you have people from this site.
Lucy is right. :)

Your not sick. alopecia is when your immune system fights with your hair system.. the hair switches off in a way. If i make sense. Its not a bad and scary disease.

In summer time dont worry about it, its like what Lucy said, a lot of guys are with shaved heads and there fine. You wont stand out. :)

Hi Fooling - This is my story about being scared for the reactions of the world.

Just went for the first 2 years to this scary bit of feeling that the whole world is watching you with your bald head. I kept myself from doing fun stuff and only went out if this was really necessary. Thank God I have my own safety net my family and friends who have been there during the process. I shared my feelings and things I was afraid of. By talking and doing I went out more often even did some activities out in the open since I am a cameralady.

Than after a while I checked out the positive what came from this and that was that I spend more time with myself instead of other people. I was always helping other people for 80% and 20% myself. That changed 180 degrees and that's when I found out who was really with me. A lot of people stayed and I was honest with them by opening up about what this did with me.

Especially for my femine side. My nails, my long hair, eyebrows, nosehair, earhair and eyelashes almost gone ... Now I definitely know the purpose for all that hair ;-).

I hope that you'll find the positive way and also find a way to deal with your feelings. Chin up like Lucy says and make the best out of it...

Warm greetings from Sam

Just remember that you are sexy! Putting that attitude out there makes us all stand tall. It's much more accepted as a man than being a bald woman. And yet, I rock! So many people have bald heads for lots of different reasons. Educating society on why we are so fabulous is our job. So be the proudest bald man you can be and sport that bald head like a trophy! Your confidence will give us confidence! ROCK IT BROTHER!!!!

Have faith that your hair will grow back I was as slick as table top in 07 and started growing my hair back after working out to bodyfor life...that eventually caused me to change my diet to the 6 small meals recommended and started using Dr miracles ...within 7 months I had about 80 % of it grow back and didn't know it even could because I had never been totally bald b4...it's up to you if you wanna accept it you can if you don't you wont...don't believe everyone else's report , not even the Dr's..God is your healer...and he created you to live in total health.
