I just want to wish everyone a good summer. I hope it hasn't been too hot where you are.

I visit AW now and then, but for whatever reason I'm more reluctant to post now than when I first joined. Who knows why. I do want to thank everyone for the site, your posts, and photos. Even though I haven't posted in a long time, it really helps to read your words. You are all such wonderful, beautiful, fun people. Inside, and out. Thank you!

My shed hasn't stopped, but I was down to a few days a month (overall I'd say I have appx. Half the hair (or less) than I did before this started. Because I still have other odd health symptoms, I started oral progesterone with the okay from my doc to see if it would help sx and hair loss. On day 3, a TE type shed started, only this time I have a lot less hair to begin with.

Apparently in a small percentage of women, progesterone acts as an androgen. Lucky me! I feel compelled to buy a few lottery tickets. ;). I of course stopped the progesterone, but the shedding continues.

I'm doing better and don't get panicked so often now. I alternate between "whatever" and just being sad. I'm even more committed to shaving my head once my hair gets thin enough (unsure when that will be. I think i'll opt for scarves, maybe going with nothing, and im really thinking about a head tattoo. It could be fun! At least, it could be a way to have some control.

Thanks for reading. May you have a lovely rest of the summer.
