Horrayy!!!

My hair is back... I've had hair growth consistently since October of last year.  I have patiently waited to write this post since the last time I tried I lost my hair again.

The doctors can't really agree (GP & Dermo) what started the loss but everyone is happy that it is back.  The hardest question I find myself thinking about is when will this happen again?  Or will it?\\

Has anyone found that they went through just a 2 year period of hair loss and growth?  With almost a full year of growth behind me, I am starting to become anxious.  Every time I wake up to hairs on my pillow or blow dry my hair I start to think I see thinning.

Is this normal? Sometimes I feel like I have forgotten what average hair shedding is like.

Will there be a point where you do not worry?

Yeah. When I had AT after almost 2 decades with full growth, and one dermatologist said that with such a long time without hair, at my age (then 40-something and with hair loss of several years again), the chances were slim that shots would ever work again. I gave up on shots. My eyelashes, eyebrows and other hair besides head hair grew back. I am now 61 and looking at other things to make me happy. My wigs and hats get me through social situations, and I can survive summer heat with cooler bare head at home. I am getting good at using eyebrow powder to fill in sparseness. Life. Goes. On.

I lost my hair when I was about six, and I lost everything. I wore a wig for years until I went into the fifth grade. My hair finally grew back and then when I was around 19 it started falling out again. I lost over 50% that time, but I was able to go to a dermatologist and get injections and started to see regrowth in about a year or so. I always worry when it seems like my hair starts falling out more than normal and seems thinner than usual. I think it's just something that most people with alopecia worry about. I am 42 now and I haven't had any problems since I was 20. Glad to hear you have had success with your re-growth.
