Fat cell transfer (stem cell) for hair growth for AGA

Has anyone had experience with fat cells harvested from your own body and injected into your scalp to arrest and promote hair growth?

I'm going for an interview Tuesday to see if I'm eligible to join this particular study. The study is in NYC.

That is interesting.  Let us know how it goes?

Sabrinnaan,
It is new and very experimental. Prior to this recent clinical study that you are looking into, I believe only two hair loss doctors were experimenting with it. I think it is worth a try, as you probably have nothing to lose...except some unwanted fat. It sounds like something that may help some people. Please keep us posted about results. Best wishes!

Hi Sabrina,

There is a young opera singer who has Alopecia that recently underwent PRP with ACell with Dr. Bauman (this is different yet similar to the stem cell treatment) for her alopecia. Her hair is growing back, but she is not sure if she is in remission or if this treatment is really working for her. Her name is Jackie Nyugien, her blogspot is:http://jackie-nguyen.blogspot.com/

I am very interested in the fat cell treatment because of my daughter with AGA. I notice there are clinical trials for AGA for this kind of treatment. In clinical trials, it is refered to as STYLE.

Please keep us posted!!!!

Thank you and Best Wishes.

Beth
