Extraordinarily unique!

I visit alopecia world quite often.... I read most of the post and blogs here. Most days I'm left with a pain in my heart for those that feel as if having no hair has somehow changed they're very existence in the world. The fact is.... I feel as if I have been done a great favor by having alopecia. As for the people that I come across in life that cannot deal with the fact that I have no hair. That's their problem even if I had hair those types of people would find reasons to find f
fault in me no matter what. Having Alopecia has weeded out alot of really nasty mean spirted people for me in my life. I have no desire to be around or to be associated with people like that anyway. Ive also found that people that try to change others..... Forcing or even suggesting that a hairpiece be worn... So that you look better (LOOK BETTER !Seriously????) Look better to who? Kind of ironic.... and even comical that people would say such things or even think them. But some do. But if you dig deeper into it you will find the truth. And the trueth is they arent happy with themselves! It has absolutely nothing to do with you. As for me and having alopecia im EXTRAORDINARILY UNIQUE! And those people can just stop hating because I will never wear a wig to make someone else feel good about themselves! Thats insane! We all have bad days... Every person in the world does and for various reasons.... But come oneople lets get real with ourselves.... Your hair is absolutely positively no reason to have a bad life! HAIR. Dead unneeded unused cells hahaha. Im sorry but sometimes I just have to laugh about it!Do you even realize how much money that we are saving by not having hair? And before I regained my sanity...... I was spending a ton of money on wigs, doctors ointments snake charmers just kidding on the snake thing. But you all know what I mean. And for whatA? Nothing thats important at all realisticly. Because at the end of each and every day since I was seven years old im still bald. Not just bald tho I am and as are all of you. EXTRAORDINARILY UNIQUE! Uuuummmm so do you think that the time may have just come for you to live it, love it, and except the greatness and strength within you..... Cuz lets face it... Its only hair. I LOVE this ! The snake charmer part was so funny . Having alopecia shows you who loves you for you . I'm blessed to have such supportive family and friends .

You are so right Kimberly, congrats for putting it out there and reminding people. It sometimes takes a while for us to get to that wonderful embracing acceptance of this disease (it certainly did for me, but I love who I am today) and reading comments and stories like yours helps others realize that indeed it comes.

WOW!!! Yes!!! Yes!! and AMEN!!! Well said. Whatever you decide, bald, wig, scarf, hat be YOU, the YOU inside the real YOU the one that is there screaming to step up and live life to the fullest.
