Well I did it last night, I shave the rest of my hair off! I am done with it, that is all behind me. I don't have to worry about if my spots are covered, or see hair all over. I feel good right now. I thought it would be harder for me than it was, I didn't even cry, (yet!)

YEAH!!!!!! its a very liberating feeling. I know when I finally shaved, I was slightly in shock, but it was the next few days that I felt relief because I no longer was cleaning up my hair all over the place and realized how painful that was.
Keep that wonderful feeling for you surely deserve it.

Cry tears of joy, tears of relief; or laugh, be happy, you're done! I identify with you. Bald headed women are the sexiest - don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Welcome!

plus I was ready for work in 20 min this morning!! I actually had time to sit and relax before I left! I know this will be better than having to try and cover it up. I had lost more hair than I thought after it was shaved. Thanks for listening, You guys gave the the courage and support to do it and move on!

YOU have the courage to "do it and move on". We are all in this together. It blows my mind, the similarity in the stories I read on here. The pain is all the same, the idea is to be able to accept this challenge and move forward.

Well it really helped to read other peoples stories. I am 48 and 1 year ago in may found my first spot. went through all the tests to make sure I was healthy and found a Derm in July, (I had lost over 50% of my hair by that time) started on Cyclosporine. Grew all my hair back, nice thick curly, on Thanksgiving found a small spot. Stopped meds and let it fall out! All in less than 1 year. Amazing.... I look forward to signing on to this website now, You are my family!

It was the best thing I ever did...My best friend is my hairdresser and she did it at her house with my sister there and her 1 year old twins playing with me and sitting on my lap...what a weight lifted off my shoulders. I still remember it was a stormy day in Janurary and I was working by myself cause everyone was storm stayed and I was having a pity party, called my Sister and said let's do it!! My BFF said all I needed was some red lipstick and that I looked really hot!! LOL What a moral booster!!
