So...my hair loss started about a couple of months after i received my first depo shot, i was losing ALOT of hair and was too afraid to go back for a second one. It has now been about 8 months so doctors say the shot should be gone from me body. I had a short hair cut done to minimize the hair shedding, which seemed to help alot. But everday is a struggle, i am convinced i will be bald before i graduate high school. The shedding has slowed down, but now i am shedding eyebrow hairs. I try not to think about it because i don't want it to take over my life. I pray every night that things will get better. Remaining strong is a challenge, but i take comfort in the fact in knowing that i am not alone.

Hi, I know the pain that you are going through. I to had most of my hair gone before my grade 12 grad. Remember beauty comes from within and keep that chin up and walk proudly across that stage and know that you are beautiful with or without hair.

Hi Danielle, I remember when I was younger in college or so an older lady told me that her hair started falling out from birth control.. I wasn't aware of the connection with BC & hair at the time(everyone's body responds different), but I truely believe in general that alopecia is hormore driven anyways. But a word of wisdom & I'm sure you will be just fine & your hair will grow back just the way it was- Please enjoy your senior year no matter what, do all the things you want & plan to do. My senior year ws a lost year for me & I cancelled prom & everything else when alopecia started & now I think back that I should have never cared what people said.
