Does anyone have a cosmetic solution for partial (50%) hair loss? I have been using Topik spray for my daughter with progressing AA and it's getting difficult to achieve a natural look. She is not quite ready for a wig. She is 9 years old and I am hoping someone here has dealt with this successfully and can give advice. Thanks

There are several cosmetics out there.

The Topik Spray was my least favorite. I found it so messy.

I preferred the powder applications much better with a bit of hair spray.

I used XFusion but Topik does make a powder as well.

I also used a product called Couvre which is a cream application with various colors available.

Best of luck!

Thank you so much! I just ordered some. Yes the spray is a bit of a mess. Just today I sent her to school with a brown ear. I didn't notice till the bell rang, I did my best with a wet thumb but uggh. With summer approaching, might you have any advice on swimming?

Unfortunately, powder doesn't mix well with water...

I would suggest a swim cap like the Olympians utilize! That might make a big splash!

I use "Root Spray" by L'Oréal if I'm going out and want to not wear a hat etc. it works really well for covering up spots!

Is it messy?

It'll get on your hands, but washes off with soap and water! By the end of the day your hair will feel a bit dirty, but it's worth it because it works so well!
