I don't wear my wigs when I'm home, just for the simple fact that it is unecessary wear & tear. Like taking a hat off when walking through the door, I take my wig off, brush it out and hang it with the others. I like to let my head breathe and I'm not trying to impress anyone in my own home ;)

I don't think your thoughts are weird at all. Unless I plan to put my wig on again and leave the house (in which I case I don't take it off), i generally don't wear a wig in the house. I've been wearing wigs for over 10 years - and it's pretty certain that the less you wear it - the longer it lasts! I just would rather wear a scarf or nothing in my house , as well.

I never wear mine home...take it off as soon as I walk in the door.

Ditto. I walk in, put it on the stand, and if it is chilly, I put on a scarf. If I am about to leave shortly, I keep the wig on until I walk out the door again.
