Autoimmune disorders and deficiencies—Hypothyroid and iron

Also, looking at auto-immune disorders, I have had excema since I was 12 and had rheumatoid arthritis from 1998-2004 (6 years).

I also had psoriasis from a young age...it left me in my 20s thank goodness, it was itchy scaly and red...then I got polymyalgia rheumatica which is another auto immune condition. I went on prednisone to cope with the pain of that condition but that medication has left me with painful hips, elbows and knees. They say if you have one auto immune you are more susceptible to having another grrrr

Pat,

Thanks for your comment.  I haven’t visited this site for a couple of months.  Sorry for the late response!  Very sorry to hear of the pain caused by polymyalgia rheumatica and the prednisone side effects.  Autoimmune conditions are very strange.
