Anyone experiencing more allergies?

Hi...i've had AA, AT and AU for most of my life and have also always had many allergies, mainly to perfumes or fragrances in products. I've never really put the two together but as I got older and my Alopecia changed from stage to stage, my perfume sensitiviy also got stronger. I was just wondering if anyone else had experienced the same thing or if its just simply that I have an allergy to perfume.

For people sensitive to perfumes on the skin but liking fragrance, do try the oils. J_v_n (I can't mention product names here) makes excellent musk oil, including a vanilla one (and you know what they say about men and vanilla scent...). Mysterious, sensual. I have worn the original since college. Works like a pheramone...even a female boss once told me I always smelled good when I wore it! (No comments, Norm! Oh, wait: it doesn't do any good to tell you that. It only presents a challenge.)

By the way, do not get the spray if you are allergic to the alcohol in it...I think the spray, although cheaper, has more things to make you allergic, and wastes a lot when spraying. The tiny roll-on is better.

Thanks for the info, but even Vanilla is too strong for me. I have a vanilla candle that I always have to put in a drawer because i can smell it across the room, even when its not lit. Drives me nutz. Might work for others though. :)

What about soaps?

Even worse. I use neutrogena bars right now, because they seem to be about the only thing I can stand. Detergents cost me a fortune because I have to buy the "green options" that dont have dyes or fragrances and here they are super expensive since they are imported.

Yes, that is what I started to wash clothes in once I found a son was allergic to harsh soaps, and me, too, after handwashing baby clothes and getting dermatitis. I have to even look for sensitive skin dishwashing soap.

Ummm..... Trish.... if you can't handle even vanilla, errrr.... why have you got a vanilla candle that you keep locked away?? Do I detect masochistic tendencies here?? :) I bet you luuurrrve a hot shower in the morning, which is why you have a cold one :)
TG: no, I dunno what they say about men and vanilla..... do tell! And how DID it work out between you and that boss?
As for soaps, naah, I can't stand 'em either. I'd much rather watch a good drama or a documentary...

Norm: Just saw that old boss in her fabulous home about 2 weeks ago. Actually, she was a friend first, and needed office help one summer when I was between jobs. She and I haven't even danced yet. Ha ha. But I did dance with her Brazilian mom and aunt at her daughter's wedding! Salsa...yes! No, I am NOT going to tell about the vanilla. Trade secret.

Trish....see what I mean? ;)

I think we've just had a brief, albeit absolutely terrifying, glimpse into your inner psyche.... whooooo! Love the fact you take the candle out and wrap it up. Brill! You've just risen massively in my estimation.... any more fabbo admissions while you're on the couch?? You've made my day.... :)

TG: ahh, riiight..... "office help". OK. Ahem....

Trish: just a suggestion, but can't you just get a nice candle that looks pretty, and ditch the vanilla one? No, sorry.... that's logical, innit. Tee-hee!
