Anyone experiencing more allergies?

Hi...i've had AA, AT and AU for most of my life and have also always had many allergies, mainly to perfumes or fragrances in products. I've never really put the two together but as I got older and my Alopecia changed from stage to stage, my perfume sensitiviy also got stronger. I was just wondering if anyone else had experienced the same thing or if its just simply that I have an allergy to perfume.

The only thing I have about perfume is a skin sensitivity to the alcohol...so, I use musk oil instead. No problems with what others wear.

Thanks Tall...I just found the group on here about allergies and was reading up on it. Didnt realize it had been asked before. lol I get severe migraines at times instantly when i smell perfumes of any sorts (in detergents, on people, soap, air fresheners, candles etc etc). But someone mentioned in one their responses in that group, that not having nose hairs or eyelashes and eyebrows can also contribute because we cannot stop "stuff" from entering those areas. No wonder my eyes itch all the time. I dont know why I never thought about that. And honestly LOL, I NEVER realized that I DIDNT have nose hairs..LOLLLL

What a coincidence.... I get severe headaches too, when near perfumes. No, just a minute, it's only when I'm near perfume COUNTERS. Maybe it's the prices that do it? ;)
So Trish, what's your solution to the perfume prob? Do you go about with a peg on your nose, just in case??
And TG... this Musk Oil. Does it make you smell like a muskrat?

Think I'd better sign off about now, and not come back for a few weeks.... Happy Easter!! :)

LOL, Norm i've seen your replies to alot of stuff, you really do take the "humour" approach quite seriously...LOL its refreshing, no worries. And generally I simply tend to back off if i smell smothing strong or have at times just put my hand over my mouth and nose, plug my nose and breath through my mouth. Sometimes you cant back up far enough...LOL
And @ Alice, too funny....arent we just a CASE or what??? LOLLLL

You're right, Trish, humour isn't a laughing matter! (judging by the number of peeps who laugh at my jokes, anyway....)
So this "backing up"..... I wonder if that means most of the gals I meet think I smell??? Hmm, never thought of that before! :)

Norm, I propose an experiment to answer your questions for the both of us! Maybe we will cancel each other out!

Good idea, TG! We'll get Trish to referee, assuming she can get close enough before passing out due to holding her breath too long!

Thats a good idea Stuck especially since, like i said before, I never even thought about the fact that I didnt have any nose hairs. Never even occured to me. Imagine that. 37yrs with Alopecia. Nope, never thought of it.
