ANOTHER NIGHTMARE DATE WITH THE RENAULT MAN......

WELL ON THURSDAY NIGHT (02/07/2009) I WENT OUT FOR A DRINK WITH A GUY CALLED GLENN WHO WORKED AS A MANAGER FOR RENAULT CARS.

I MET GLENN THROUGH A NETWORKING SITE AND MY FIRST IMPRESSION WAS, HES REALLY GOODLOOKING, TALL DARK AND HANDSOME.

THE NIGHT WENT REALLY WELL AND WE AGREED TO MEET UP AGAIN THE FOLLOWING EVENING.
THAT NIGHT WHEN WE SEPERATED AND WENT HOME, GLENN CALLED ME ON THE PHONE WHEN HE GOT IN.

AS WE WERE CHATTING HE STARTED TELLING ME ABOUT HIS FRIEND TODD HE WAS MEETING UP WITH THE FOLLOWING AFTERNOON.
HE THEN TOLD ME HIS FRIEND TODD RUN A BUSINESS SPRAYING CARS, WHICH WAS WHEN I REALISED HE WAS A GUY I MET LAST YEAR AND WENT OUT FOR A DRINK WITH, AND WHO KNEW ALL ABOUT MY HAIRLOSS., BUT HE WASNT MY TYPE ALTHOUGH HE WAS A NICE GUY.
THEN GLENN SAID" I CANT WAIT TO TELL HIM ABOUT YOU, AND HOW FUNNY YOU ARE, I THINK YOUR A FANTASTIC GIRL AND GOODLOOKING TOO", WHICH IS WHEN IT DAWNED ON ME THAT TODD, MAY TELL HIM IM BALD IF HE REALISED IT WAS ME.

AFTER SLEEPING ON IT FOR THE NIGHT I THOUGHT IT WAS BEST FOR ME TO TELL GLENN INSTEAD OF HIM HEARING IT FROM TODD, SO I ARRANGED TO MEET UP WITH HIM THE FOLLOWING DINNER-TIME.

WHEN I MET UP WITH GLENN WE WENT FOR A DRIVE TO SUTTON PARK AND AFTER ABOUT TEN MINUTES I TOLD HIM ABOUT MY HAIRLOSS.
HE SEEMED VERY TAKEN BACK BUT ASSURED ME THAT IT WASNT A PROBLEM, AND SAID "IT COULD BE FUN IT WOULD IT WILL BE LIKE DATING A DIFFERENT GIRL EACH-TIME WITH ALL THOSE WIGS !
AFTER AN HOUR WE WENT OUR SEPERATE WAYS AND GLENN SAID "ILL CALL YOU LATER AND WE COULD MEET UP IF YOU LIKE".
HE NEVER CALLED OR TEXTED ME AGAIN, AND COMPLETELY AVOIDED ME.

WHY ARE PEOPLE SO CRUEL AND WHY CANT THEY SEE BEYOND MY HAIRLOSS ?????

You could write a book with all these dating stories! OMG there are a lot of shallow people in this world. But...that's their problem and not yours. They have to live with themselves; you don't. They miss out on getting to know a lovely woman with lots to offer; you don't miss out on getting to know them. Hang in there, and try to remember to laugh about. Also, just as an FYI, I have plenty of friends who've done the online dating and blind date and speed dating, and they all have just as many problems (and they do not have alopecia)...so, it's not the hair. It's just dating. Good luck!

Claire,
Sorry to hear you had this bad experience. I think Panuelo Girl's comment is spot on. There are a multitude of reasons relationships don't work out and many don't end in a graceful way. If a guy can't deal with your hair situation he just isn't the right guy for you anyway. One thing I've noticed on this site is how many married folks rave about how supportive their spouses are. When you find the right person (not always easy with or without hair) your hair will not be an issue. Don't give up - I'm sure he's out there somewhere!

Hi i have only just got round to reading your blog (3 month on)

Cant believe he would use a stupid line like i dont want a girl with complications why the hell is you having know hair a complication!!!
Im really mad that someone could be so pathetic he should have had the guts to say that it was him being a childish saddo!!

Anyway like i said before you wrote this a good few months ago i hope this sad individual is someone you have forgot about and hopefully his pathetic remark has not had a lasting effect on you xx

PS sh*t i hope you have not patched up your differences and are now happily married or i will look a total dope lol
