This morning while my family was getting ready for the day my 4 year old was left with coloring (with our permission) for a few minutes. I came back after bring gone for two minutes to find she had cut out a chunk of her hair. I stared with my mouth open... This is probably a rite of passage for both Kids and parents but one that sprung upon me and that I am so sensitive to as a result of my hair loss. After I got over my shock I asked her why she did it. She said she wanted to give me her hair. Wow. I didn't know whether to laugh or cry...so I smiled, hugged her, told her thank you and made her promise to never do it again. Then when I drove to work and I cried....thankful for what really matters.

What a kind, sensitive child.  Kind, sensitive children grow up to be kind, sensitive adults.  You should be very proud of your daughter.  I am, and I don't even know her.
