I'm sure I am one of hundreds of you that want to say this but, thank you Alopecia World.
With out this wonderful site my alopecian days would be a little harder, the looks in the supermarket would sting a little stronger, the windy days on the soccer field with 18 girls would never happen, my confidence to walk on a tennis court in just a scarf would not be there, I would not have these wonderful friends that I feel so safe sharing my feelings that I never had before AA, I wouldn't have had the courage to start a support group through naaf in my home town, and my girls wouldn't see a mother who is setting an example that beauty is on the inside and from there it radiates out. I love my bald family and I'm proud to be part of it. Thank you for what you have created for so many people.

Your comments and experiences are shared by many I am sure. I would have never taken the leap and shaved my head had it not been for this site and the bold beautiful women who shaved before me! The freedom felt can not be expressed by words, but with a smile that radiates daily. I have even noticed myself walking taller. What else can I say except..."Thanks Everyone"!

You go girl! Sheila is so right your experiences are indeed shared by others & how very grateful we are to & for Cheryl & R.J. & their creation of AW. As for those beautiful women on this site they all make me very proud to spell my name Woman, a phrase begun by a hero of mine Oprah Winfrey, but for me, I also add to Woman, Bald in front of of it, I am a proud Alopecian Bald Woman & that has come about because of this web site & the support of & from Alopecian sisters & brothers.

It's the most wonderful place on earth :) You guys rock! Enjoy each day. Linda your sister will be in my prayers. My sister in law will be 5 years cancer free this thanksgiving. Her positive attitude is what she thinks made her stage three cancer turn into a bye bye cancer. The power of positive thinking and positive people. All these great people here at AW may not grow our hair back but, it sure makes the ride a whole lot easier, no? Enjoy your weekend everyone. xo Margs

Thank you AW!! yes without this site, decisions and experiences would be tougher. Knowing we are all here for the same reasons makes a huge difference in our days. Knowing we can share our feelings and can help those with our experiences, aides our healing and acceptance. So again Thank you AW
