Well it's 27 days til I leave for the US....

And I'm starting to freak out a little.....camp's not going to be easy with no hair. I'll be living in a room with about 12 other people so they'll all have to know about my lack of hair. Not sure how the kids are going to take it....

Second countdown is to my new freedom suction wig......wait for it.....only 6 days until it should be here and I can't wait! Fingers crossed it does get here on that date! I'm hoping that it's going to help make it a little easier for me on my travels.

hey i hope this helps, but when i am on camp i take bandanas with me and wear them in bed then if any kids wake up during the night it is not such a big shock, especially if you will be wearing wigs during the day also be completely honest with them they are more understanding than most people give them credit for. i also work with kids as i am a beaver leader good luck with the camp:)

I spent a few summers at camp with no hair. I didn't wear wigs, so I wore a bandana everywhere I went. I think if you are honest with them and tell them what alopecia is, they won't mind. Usually people are more understanding and supportive when they know what's going on. Good luck and have fun! Don't stress out over it too much.
