AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just asked my husband to check the top of my head as something up there did not feel right. Another missing patch of hair!!!!!! It's a perfect circle in the size of a quarter, in the middle of my center part toward the back.

Hair has been falling out like crazy lately. This morning and this evening I was running my hands through my hair and pulling out entire strands my the dozens. In the shower my hands have been covered in hairs and my brush needs to be cleaned daily.

WHY? WHY? WHY?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just started regrowing the hair back there from a much bigger patch....like the size of my fist. Any I'm trying to get another patch up front to grow again....I don't know how much longer I can keep moving my hair around to cover patches. *sigh* At least it's fall and winter's around the corner. No one would bat an eye if I just wore hats...... :(

This past week has been immensely stressful. I would be happy if it were really true that stress caused hair loss like this. At least it would be an answer.

Hey Georgie,

I know how frustrating it is to have your hair start growing back in one spot just to have it start falling out in another. And although stress is not the root cause of alopecia, it IS a major trigger for it to become active again. And the strange thing is, the stress of actually having alopecia can make things worse instead of better -- go figure!

So with that being said, knowing how cyclical AA really is, I would recommend lots of hugs, a little bit of chamomile tea, and a day at the spa relaxing -- it might not make that patch go away, but you will feel a lot better anyway!

Here's a Sunday morning hug from Nashville to get you started! *Hugs* =))

Hi Georgie!!
{{HUGS}} for you!! I just went through the WORST shedding EVER with this crazy Alopecia!! And that was after ALL of my hair had grown back in :( I finally decided to take back the control and shaved it all off!! I can't even begin to explain to FREEDOM i feel!! I personally felt like the stress of having handfuls of hair falling out around the clock was MUCH worse than having none at all! I wear a scarf or nothing around the house and a cute wig when I go out.

Hang in there :) If you need anything ... I'm here!
