So, I've worn my new wig to work this week. It has been easier than I thought. Its funny because I have had people following me around all week telling me I look 'sassy'. HA! It has also been easier to talk about to the people I work with and go to classes with. I knew that as soon as I wore it, I was going to have to explain to people do didn't already know. It has been better than I expected. But, the first time I wore it out with some friends, I sat in the car and cried before I went in.

I also cut my hair really short, 1/2 inch all the way around (what's left). Partly because it was really itchy, partly because I was having my own personal sauna on my head in the southeast Texas heat, partly because it was becoming more and more traumatic to continue to pull out handfulls of hair at a time. This way, I know what its going to look like when I get up in the morning. Yes, I'm still getting new patches, but its easier to deal with this way. I've also started going back to the gym after a few weeks off for my mental health. Its a small family-owned gym with really great people there. I take alot of the classes, so I know most of the ladies that go there. They have been amazing!! Oh my goodness. Its funny how people suprise you when things like this happen. Sometimes, people have totally different reactions than you thought they would. The women at this gym,who don't really know me outside of there, have been so encouraging. I am so greatful to have these woman a part of my life - even for a few hours a day.

I put some pictures up of the red wig and another wig that I got. It was supposed to be brown, but came in blonde. Oops! It was not very expensive and it will be my blonde alter-ego. One friend said that I looked like a hooker in it....HAHAHA! Granted, I was in the middle of changing when I threw it on for her. What do you think??? Blonde hooker wig???

Another funny story, as I had the blonde hooker wig on, the guy who does maintenance on my apartment came by. I ran outside to talk with him (in the blonde wig). I ran back into the house and put a hat on before going outside to unlock my garage. As I was leaving for class (10 minutes later), I put on my red wig. In the course of 15 minutes, he saw 3 different hair styles....oops!

Lastly, a few more questions. Thank you so much for all of your responses to my questions. I don't mean to bombard you with questions, I just don't really know who else to ask...thanks again for being so great!! Where can I find petite wigs that are cute/fun? Which makers? It seems like there are not many options for petite wigs. Both of the wigs that I have now are big and I am having to tuck the ends under. Also, do you have any tips for making the wigs fit better if they are a bit big? I know I'm not the only one with a small head and some of you have to have some tricks to make them fit better. Thanks so much!!

If you go to any website that sells wigs, look for a menu and look for petite wigs, they should have some. There not a ton of styles, but they are petite. I know cuz I have a small head too! Look at www.wilshirewigs.com, I think they had a few there that were descent. You can also get a custom made one but they can be expensive and take a while to get to you. Let me know if you find one. Glad that you are working out, I really need to start again. I used to be very regular and now I'm so scared to go back to the gym that I used to go to, they are all very into their image at my gym. Maybe I'll go somewhere else! Do you wear your wig when you work out? How is that working out for you? Take care!

Most websites where you buy wigs show the measurements - make sure you get an accurate measurement of your head. Also, I use the wigs that are adjustable in the back. So I can make them as tight as I like. I highly recommend this kind of wig. They fit so perfect that I really don't feel like I'm wearing a wig. Just feels like my hair.

Anywho, I'm so glad you are having nice, encouraging people in your everyday life. That's awesome. And congrats on the buzzed hair. Feels better, huh? I was so relieved when I did that cuz I didn't have to watch it falling out everyday anymore.

Hugs,
Mandy
