1st week of being bald!
BBBB NO MORE!!! i went into work this morning & was told that they dont need me to finish up my 2 week notice & that today was my last day! the best part, they are going to pay me thru the end of the month! YAY! i guess they got a little scared when i stood up for myself about being attacked. i never thought that shaving my head would really change me so much!
so here is what happened my first week of being bald:
found out i have a perfectly round head
got a million compliments on my bright-blue eyes
gained a sense of strength i NEVER knew i had
became confident with myself, yes, even with NO HAIR
used my sense of humor more that ever, and enjoyed it!
talked more about alopecia than i have in my whole life, and thats a lot since ive had alopecia since i was 5
really learned to accept my disease for the first time
so i guess it was a good week afterall... thanks again for all the support here :)

Jennifer I too get lots of compliments on my blue eyes (I guess they stand out once you have no hair) also when I wear blue I get more compliments, try it for fun and see. I'm glad to hear you had a great week, what a boost of confidence, here's to many more great experiences!

Jen! Brill! Have you turned your life around, or what? It's what Shereka says - it's about CONTROL. It's true of everything, not just losing your hair.
The only downside I can see of all this is that we've got nobody to moan about now. :( And no oddball acronym to make fun of... we'll have to work on that one. Maybe we should join AA to get help? (that's Acronyms Anonymous, by the way...)
DGADBSue is right as well, about how being bald makes your eyes stand out so much. It also has that effect on quite a few people who see you, but not in quite the same way... ;)
