I was diagnosed at 11 also. first one spot, then became more, and eventually came back then lost much of it again. Now I choose to shave my head and wear a wig. for about 8 years, I wore a top piece that blended with my real hair that I had left. I also got my hair piece and now I get my wigs cut and styled so they look natural. I know how hard it is. There are solutions. My solution is wigs...good ones. I dance professionally, so I am constantly being judge on how I look. No one knows I even wear a wig or have alopecia unless I tell them. I am proud know because of the strength I have. Let me know if you have any questions.

Attached is a photo with wig, you'll see its not noticable.
