Science fair and alopecia

My name is Devyn Napier and I am a senior in high school. I am extremely interested in the medical field and I attend an all academy school in Concord, Ca. I am in the Medical and Biotechnology Academy and I absolutely love it. I get to wear scrubs to school (so comfortable!) and I was awarded the opportunity to work in the emergency room of John Muir.

In my biological science research class this year, our project is to develop our own science fair experiment. I will…

Wigs for active kids and swimmers

My daughter is 10 years old and within the last 3 weeks is almost completely bald, she is very active and we are looking for a wig that she can play sports in and swim in that won't fall off and will be secure. Has anyone found one that works?

New to the site

Hi! I am new to Alopecia World and glad to have found it. I have scarring alopecia caused by LPP. I am wondering if there are any members who live in the Edmonton area (Alberta, Canada) that have scarring alopecia? I was diagnosed in September after finding my first bald spot in May. Would love to chat with someone from my neck of the woods.

I have come to terms that I am starting this process over. This has been devastating for me because I have held out so much hope that I would get that beautiful head of hair back…
