Julie - I have not been on here in a while and see you asked about the AIP diet and whether it's still helping me, or seems to be. You asked ... in 2019!! So, 4.5 years ago I was diagnosed with an oral cancer. I mention this because at that time I was on AIP, but after that I also tweaked my diet again, adding back occasional healthy grains, including oat bran/oatmeal. And I added in a few things that my own research told me might be helpful, such as more foods with lycopene (cooked tomatoes ...which are not allowed on AIP). I also eat nuts now, too. They don't seem to bother me, at least most nuts and almonds. Either way, the answer to your question is that I do believe what I eat helps me a LOT. I do believe I achieved a remission. It could also be because I got rid of all products with the parabens and the Vitamin A ingredient (palmitate???), which was a potential link. But when I eat a little poorly or go off the diet a bit too much, not only do I feel it in my gut and feel a bit nauseous, I DO occasionally notice the redness return, or maybe the bulging veins. But it's rare and I keep with the mostly grain free, lots of veggies, mostly all organic, healthy meats diet. (I also eat eggs now, too, but all range free, etc.). I hope this helps.

How are you??
