- I was diagnosed about 5 months ago. shaved my head and now have a white fuzz growing back around my entire head. my dermatogist told me my hair well probably never grow back. would love to talk to someone who is going threw alopecia areata. thank u its been really difficult adjusting.

If my head is covered in white fuzz...

does that mean my hair is coming back? should i keep shaving it ive only shaved it once. so confused i am also finding patches of hair missing on my arms and legs. i don't know if any one can answer these questions. just looking for some insight thanks.

Yes--I get the same white fuzz--often in places where the hair fell out. I shave my head now, but I can often tell where the bald places are because the white fuzz fills them in. In fact, it shows on my photos. It's really irritating because the white fuzz makes it look like my head is not tan at all and makes my scalp color look all uneven. It's very frustrating. But so far the white fuzz is not turning back to full hair
I love in Northern CA (Oakland area). Would be happy to chat sometime if you are interested. I have had Alopecia since I was 16.
