I am almost 31 years old and developed Alopecia on the back of my scalp last May. I have been treating it with injections, which has been successful, but just discovered another spot on the side of my head a few weeks ago. I've had a lot of stress in my life over the last month and can't help feeling like that caused the new area of hair loss.

Lately it seems the hardest part of the day is getting out of bed – not because I don’t want to get up, but because bed is safe. Getting out of bed means a couple of things – 1. It means that I will inevitably look at the pillow and space around my head to see if I have shed any hairs, and 2. It means I will need to get in the shower and go through the more-often-than-not painful process of seeing what falls out post-shower.



I used to be more concerned about the hairs in the bed…

Great Jennifer! You will love her and her staff. She makes me feel great every time. I hope you are working on staying positive and not letting this get you down too much. It sucks - I know and I felt like STRESS totally pushed mine out even more. One thing I would recommend - when you touch the spot or see it - visualize the hair growing there - never hurts to be positive and they say visualizing makes it real. :)
