Has anyone ever been kicked out of a place for hiding your head by wearing a head covering?

Posted on June 10, 2015 at 6:00pm 27 Comments

I have been wearing a nice beanie to cover my AA patches in between shaves.

I don't go out in public with a wig though I've been seriously considering 1 lately.

I just cover my head outside.

I was kicked out of a courtroom today because I would not remove my head covering in front of a room full of strangers.

I was mandated to "take it off or go pay the fine for the ticket". They wouldn't even grant me an audience with the solicitor in the hall way.

I paid…

Hi Dee hope the cupcakes lived up to expectation and the whole hair thing is going as well as it can which is of course never that good. After so many years Pat has given up finding a magic lotion or potion we kinda figure medical science will come day come up with a cure. I had the usual male patter baldness thing thing and at my age you kinda expect it. Besides there is no way male pattern baldness compares to alopecia and it gets miffed when i hear that it does men can get away bald easier than women. You have the whole beauty social thing happening which we men dont get to the same degree. I went to Thailand and had a hair transplant for a fraction of what it would have cost here, and I dont regret it at all but I could have survived ok without it. It definitely was an ego thing and I ma fine with that. If there was a cure for Pat we would pay for it without a second thought but until then good wigs a lot of self help communication and support will see us through This site and the people who understand that this is a support site will also be invaluable to us. Stay Frosty
and stay in touch John xx

U need to see a dermatologist ask for some steroid drugs to stop hair falling out and need some lotions as well. The herbs are called fusion and there from Australia u will need to get the hair tonic pills. U can buy them online I think take 2 a day..

Hey deejay,
Hopefully with working on urself that will give u the self esteem u need to b how ur most comfortable. Finding a partner is always a challenge, but for us it's even more trying as we r still trying to find a personal comfort of our own. In time u will find a partner that excepts u just as u are, n falls for u as a person n not appearance. Whether bald or not, going to places with a partner gets u looks regardless of
Whats on ur head unfortunately but when u hv someone ur comfortable with by ur side, it doesn't matter what looks u get. Just do u and the rest will follow :) here if u need to talk.

Hi Deejay. I know all about hiding. I was an expert. But it does feel at times that your being someone your not. Alopecia World is basically what gave me my courage to step out. Seeing so many other people in the same boat as me and still smiling on top of it all, really was an eye opener. I encourage you to be you as you see fit. TTFN - T (for Tammy):D
