About Me:
Lets try this over. I live in Southern California, I'm attending a DeVry university for Biomedical Engineering, and I lost my hair right after high school. Its been about a year and a half now, and I think I'm going to be alright. I still have strong and weak times, when I'm feeling like the world can just accept me for who I am, and of course the other end of the scale, where I feel like every one thinks I'm strange and different. I grew up in a very conservative part of Northern California. I know most people think of Nor Cal and they think of the bay area, well there is a lot more Nor Cal then that, and most of it isn't as open to being different. When i came back to the town i grew up in, I got a lot of strange looks to say the least, particularly from my red neck friends.

read up on my blogs and maybe you will feel a lil' better to deal with the adversity society dishes out.

Hey Brandon!
Read your presentation, and I have to say that I can relate to every bit of it. I lost my hair about a year ago. People I used to know and haven't seen for a while usually don't recognize me at all. But we'll manage, right? What else is there to do?

Good luck with school!!

Hi Brandon, I think it is a matter of allowing yourself to accept it. I know longer, dream of days with hair, or look back at picture of myself with hair. I truly see myself as who I am today. That took time. You are still the same, everything you like, dislike, enjoy is still all there. The package has just changed a bit. And as we age, it will continue to change. I have truly come to a point that I don't believe I need hair to be attractive, sexy, useful, caring, loving, funny... So in a lot of ways, it was when I was finally able to put it aside and continue to take the chance to live like I lived before. You may actually find that nothing has really changed. Keep in touch.
